Frequently asked questions
Yes. Image-based pages are detected and processed with OCR. Clear, straight scans usually produce better results.
It depends on the file. The page tells you which method is used. Files sent to the server are used only for the current task and deleted after processing.
PDF is a fixed-layout format. Complex tables, columns, unusual fonts and scans may need a manual check after conversion.
The current public beta is free. Server processing uses a daily allowance, and signed-in users receive 1.5 times the guest allowance.
